Hey guys!

So I am looking to get rid of my hideous light weight c5 wagon wheels. My buddy turned me onto these wheels that his dad use to have on his Camaro when he raced (American racing 5 spoke). I found a set of 17x10 but was kind of set on a set of 18x9.5 or 9. Was wondering what others would think would look best / fit the best on my third gen. Just about all the way lowered on all the weight jacks. I would love to get a set of mesh wheels like the trans am wheels but with a bigger lip.

They're making a 17x9 version of the trans am wheels now.

10" wide is pretty wide, I had to clearance my 82 TA rear wheel wells for the same 18" rear wagon wheels and 275's.
The front can comfortably fit 9.5's, 10's might be a hair wide if your springs are pretty soft.
Forgeline brought back the TA3P wheel but it might be too pricey.

I have no problem clearning any of my wheels now (17 in front with 245 and 18 in rear with 275) Keep in mind I do have c5 front breaks and a 4th gen axle so that does help push it out. Just wanted something with a nice lip and these came up and were decently cheap. I am not a fan of the whole "slammed" life but I would like to close up the wheel gaps which is why I kinda want to stick with 18's or can I achieve this with bigger tires and 17's

10's will fit on the back of a 3rd gen, but the backspacing has to be perfect. Even still, you might have to knock in the bump out for the seat belt mounts a bit in order not to rub.

Seat belts are already removed and an 8pt role cage is in it. I guess it would be best to wait for either something that fits better. What are you thoughts on 17 or 18 wheels for fitment and function. I really just want to close the wheel gap.

17's or 18's is kinda a personal taste thing. Either one will yield you close to the same overall tire diameter if chosen correctly. Closing the wheel gap is more of a function of lowering the car by way of springs.
