Hey guys,

Have a pro-touring 68 with a built small block..wanting to go do a few more passes at the strip with some hoosier quick time pros or the like to see if I can hook up better than a 2.1xx 60 ft times.

2 questions...on stock wheel wells/suspension type..

Will 15 inch wheels fit over the 11 or 12 inch 4th generation F body rear brake setup?

And what is the biggest "drag type" tire I can run on the rear for drag racing?

Running 275 / 40/17 Nitto 555R's now so they're 26.5 inches tall roughly by 10.2 inches wide.

Thanks for any advice or combos that might have worked?

Donnie

You should be ok on the brake clearance, my setup in the 90's was c4 brakes front and rear with 15" rally rims. I think that was 12" front and 11.5" rear, the camaro and vette rear calipers were the same except the ebrake pull direction.

A few years back I tried some m&h drag radials 275/40/17 or 275/50/17 I forget and they just fit but I did have to raise up the back with the coilovers, it was a 28" tall tire, still got them now that I thinking of it, one more thing to get listed for sale.
