I'm new to this site and had a question, I am planning on doing a vintage air kit and was curious which kit to get considering I have an LQ4/LS based motor.

I know they have a kit that has the controls but i am looking at getting the knob style controls and a bulkhead do to my firewall being smoothed.

Am am I better off purchasing the kit plus all the items I need or do I purchase things separately. Which company do you recommend I order from that will guide me in the right path?

thank you all for the help in advance

You would be better off calling VA or one of our supporting vendors here that are dealers to help you. They can walk you through a package that will fit your needs. Not a "kit" really, but you'll get exactly what you need. Your overall cost will be cheaper in the long run with no leftover parts.

I have the Gen IV kit with the 3 knob controller. You can buy a panel from Detroit Speed that mounts the 3 knob controller in the stock 67/8 dash location, you can buy it with the hole already cut which makes for an easy installation. My firewall is smoother and my heater and AC hoses have been routed through the old blower motor location through the pass fender. Really Clean looking!

What engine accessories are you using (factory or aftermarket)? I am also using the stock corvette one with the Holley brackets, looks factory unlike some of the others that use plates and spacers.

As for vendors, there are several on the board that will be more than happy to help you out. Look on the right side of the page ;-) I have had really great dealings with Matts Classics Bowties MCB. Hope this helps!
