I got my MasterPower check tool and found my pin is ever so slightly engaging the MC. How imperative is the .020 gap? Will this cause the front brakes to drag.

I ground down the pin too much the first time and have a small washer as a spacer behind the MC pin. With the washer out I had way to much gap and a brake pedal that would stop ok but could push to the floor.

.020" - .025"

If it is engaging the master cylinder at all, the brakes will drag.

Thanks Donny.

I will do some more grinding.

Does the O-ring on the booster pin server any function? Is it just to keep the pin from falling out or does it seal anything?

I pulled two pins from junk cars. One was from a 77GP and the other from a 69 Pontiac Catalina. Bother were exactly the same but no O-ring like mine.
