Hi guys

I have a 69 Chevelle and i got a great deal on American racing wheels and tires and unfortunately they don't fit at all!

So im in need of adapters but i need recommendations on where to get them and what size?

Front: 17X9.5 rim
Front backspacing: 5 inches
Front tire: 275x40xZR17 Nitto NT555

Rear: 17x11.5 rim
Rear Backspacing: 7.75 inches
Rear tires: 315x35xR17 Nitto NT555R

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

I don't think anyone can tell you what size adapters you need with any accuracy. I suspect you are just going to have to mock the wheels up under the car and start measuring.

I was checking the American racing website and no where have i been able to find a 11.5" torq thrust rims. Did some research and the largest they came on was 11". I guess the seller measured it from outer edge to outer edge.

The rims are American Racing VN505.

According to these posts, the rear backspacing needs to be 6.25" and i mocked the wheels and estimated will need a 1.5" adapter.

For the front, the rim mounts perfectly but it rubs against the upper control arm and when turning the wheel, it hits against the hotchkis sway bar
