      ET Wheels

Anyone know if ET lite III wheels in 17x9 will clear c5 brakes?

I think you are going to want to call them.
I was about to order a set of LTIII for my 68 Mustang with 2005 Mustang GT front brakes. After I was berated for putting modern "cheap" take off brakes on the front that require high caliper clearance modern "no lip" wheels. I found out the one piece stocked 17X8 wheel with 5"BS will not clear the calipers. To set BS on the raw castings they cut the mounting pad. To get to 5" BS the clearance would go from 1 1/8" (that would clear) to about 5/8".
I would take some rough measurements of the height of the caliper over the face of the rotor, where the wheel mounts, and the distance from center to the out side of the caliper then call and ask if it will work. They will tell you to fill out the detailed fitment order form I'm sure ,it's on their site.

If you are planning 4-4 1/4" BS that will give the maximum brake clearance that is quoted on the site.

Now in my case by going to a 2 piece wheel ($100 more each) the center can be cut for maximum caliper clearance ,1 1/4" , then the rim shell positioned for 5"BS but ,his quote, " I dont like those flat face wheels with no lip on old cars". Now his head figures the Front space and Back space pretty quick but I think on an 8" wheel the front would still have 2" of lip.

      Thanks Cyclone
Talked to him today and it looks like they will fit, but extremely tight on radial clearance, I could remove the fins off the caliper and have 3/16 clearance.

My current wheels have less than 1/8 clearance over the caliper to the back of the spokes,no problem.
