I need to widen the interior plastic 1/4 panel trim and shrink the seats. Is there anyone that does this or am I on my own?

I didn't. just stretched the sh*t out of it and it bit. I did have Customworks use an interior shop for the seats, came out great. I assembled the interior.

I'm in the process rite now. 72 Camaro with DSE mini tubs which I made 1 in wider each side. I cut the interior panels in half , then fiber glassed a piece in between the two half's about 2 inches wide in the center. Also cut a section out of both sides of the seat back frame on both sides then welded the ends back on. The seat buckets , I did the same thing but only on the outside corners. I can text or e mail pics if u want.

Narrowed the seat back frame and relocated the seat frame hooks inward.

That's interesting. I'll see if I can find something on that somewhere.

We narrowed the stock frame, added heat and stretched the armrests and fabbed a matching back seat to the Corbeau's in front...

Started on the back seat frame and it went surprisingly well. I thought it would be way more difficult than it was. The bottom's seam like they'll be trickier, but haven't gotten to them quite yet.

What exactly do you need to do to the bottoms?

FirebirdSteve,
Tell me about recovering the sail panels and 1/4 trim. What materials and adhesives did you use? Thanks.

Firebirdsteve, what did you use to bond the vinyl or leather to the plastic?

This topic has come up at a perfect time for me too. I have all these same questions. I like the upholstery. Was that done professionally? It sure looks like it. I'd like to know more about the whole process, would like to see more pics, and would also like to know what glues and no materials were used for putting that leather over the old panels. Can we get more pics of those and how they're fastened? How do u un fasten them if the need ever arises

A friend who is in the biz out of his home shop did the interior. With a little (very) help from me. I will post up more pics today. The seats still use the factory mounts top and bottom and fasten the same way.
