This, I believe will be my final specs for the rear rims for my 68 Camaro. After talking with a few members here and doing a ton of research, I think this is what it will be unless somebody sees a red flag.

18 x 11.5 - 6.25" backspacing

This will give me the option to run either a 315 or 335 tire, it will also provide a decent lip since Formula 43's are not very concave at all. I will have to shorten the rear housing 1.5" per side. They are 60" wide stock so total would be 57".

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Erik

IMO, given the numbers you gave above I think it will be too much BS for a 57" rear width. That said, have you narrowed the rear end yet? If not then order the wheels you want and once you have them you can mock them up under the car in the exact position you want them. At that point it is a simple matter of measuring the actual distance from wheel pad to wheel pad which will give you the exact WMS to WMS width you will need for the rear end.

On my 68 I did the ridetech suspention and I put a 18x12 with 5.5bs. Rearend came out to be 55 1/4 from mounting face rotor to rotor with wilwood disc brakes. But I bought the wheels first then had moser build my axle.
