hopefully i got this in the right spot. i was looking for advice on power steering coolers... i had a few questions

1. i've seen two different styles, some like a rad and others are like a bar with a heat sink, any advantage to one style?
2. does size matter, usually when looking at a cooler for a trans, the bigger the better?
3. mounting location, do you mount them in front of the rad to grab air flow?

my car is a 84 monte ss, ls swap with f-body accessories and pump

thanks,
steve

I've used the round tube & fin type around 8" long with the tube going down and back up, put ahead of the radiator. Works great and it is plenty for a pro-touring car.

I've used this one, it's a little longer. http://m.summitracing.com/parts/hda-1010
The Dralle might be ok, it's a tiny bit on the smal sidel, but any cooler at all really helps bring temps down a lot.
