body mount hardware??

Should I go with stainless or just factory repo? My car is a 70'Monte Carlo that is getting the protouring treatment. I have new urethane body mounts for it.

I use ARP Stainless hardware for everything including the body mounts. It's stronger than stock and looks incredible.

I was thinking of getting ARP bolts for my body mounts. But they are pricy

Aren't the body bolts pretty much invisible when installed? Why would appearance be a factor?

I went to Fastenal and spec'd the closest I could find to the stock bolts in grade 8. They were about 4mm shorter and had square tips on them. At one point during the install I needed not only those 4 extra mm but also the pointed tip. I ended up putting an old bolt in to snug everything up then pulled it back out to put the new one in.

I vote for factory replacement body bolts...

The factory bolts last in many cases 50 years while being driven as just another car. I doubt any of our restored cars will ever see snow, road salt or much more than a sprinkling rain storm other than a car wash.

Run the factory stuff with a little anti seize on the threads.
