My local rad expert strenuously recommends staying with a brass radiator instead of going with aluminum, based mainly on his experience with medium and heavy trucks and equipment but also 30 years experience in the industry.
Redoing my GTO 4-core rad with a new brass TQ core and my end tanks will run around $400. I see most of you are going with aluminum rads.
Discuss.

An excerpt:
Factoring all of the above points together, aluminum radiators will last longer, cool the same, and cost less than an equivalent copper-brass. Does this mean that there is no place for copper-brass radiators anymore? No, they still have their place in automotive use; however, it’s not as wide spread as it once was.
When to Use Which Radiator
Copper-brass radiator can still be used if your vehicle was designed for it. Typically this applies to antique vehicles using original parts. If you are working hard to maintain the original look of the vehicle, then you should stick with copper-brass. On the other hand, if you have heavily modified your vintage car, you may need to switch to an aluminum radiator. We recommend aluminum radiators for the following situations:
Use an Aluminum Radiator When
The original radiator was aluminum
Space under the hood is limited
Air flow or over-heating is an issue
You add a bigger engine to a vehicle
Weight is a consideration
etc.

I was thinking of this:

I have one of their rads in my Time Attack Firebird and it cools GREAT, no issues with it using the dual factory electric fans and shroud.
