fixing to order headers for ls1 swap into a 69 Camaro. what headers has the most clearance on the steering box. my mounts are from stokers and they are adjustable but I think I may problems with clearance. thanks jerry davis

i should add that these mounts use original 69 engine mounts and the engine is about 1.5 inches from the firewall. thanks jerry davis

All depends on your mounts. I have ATS (Speed Tech) mounts. Initially, I used Dynatech headers but they hung too low. I now have Stainless Works headers that had to be slightly modified on the driver's side to clear my 600 series steering box. I'm very happy with my Stainless Works headers.

ARH installed .. miles of clearance and hang no lower than the frame rails .. Exhaust pics start near bottom of page

sheck44 what steering box do you have and did you have any clearance problems around it. my engine mounts looks similar to yours. I like the way the headers tuck by the frame rails. thanks again jerry davis

I'm running the Lee 670 box ... tons of clearance, and yes I couldn't be more happy about the fit of these headers and how high up they tuck
See if I can find more pics of the box/header clearance

steve what assc. drive brackets are those and what water pump and power steering pump do you have thanks. jerry davis
