Vintage Air fan too loud

I have a vintage Air kit on my 68 Firebird and the interior fan is really loud. Has anyone experienced this? I am thinking of making a baffle to go over the unit and cover it with sound deadener or something in hopes to quiet it down some.

Mine is loud too. Not sure if what you're planning would work or not. I do know that I was considering trying to find an oem fan from a production car that would work better but decided it was too much hassle to worry about it. I just turn up the radio.

The small evaporator means they have to move a lot of air over it. In general the more CFM the louder the fan for a given fan diameter.

Make sure your baffle doesn't choke the air flow to the fan.
