I am looking to get a Stayfast top for my 1st gen from German Auto Parts in California. Does anybody have any experience ie. fitment etc... with this company?

Pretty sure I got mine from the Convert Top Guys too. I've read that no matter where you buy it these are all pretty much made by the same company; makes sense as I doubt there is enough demand to warrant a dozen companies making the same thing from scratch.
If you need a rear tacking rail (I did) these guys had the best price I could find, when I called them they said they make them themselves and sell them to hydro-electric and the various other places that sell them for $275+. http://www.topsdown.com/1969-72-GM-A-body-convertible-rear-tacking-rail-p60.html
