Was there ever a rear disc option for the firebird?

Rear disc brakes on a first generation Firebird was not available. Drum only in the rear.

There was a rare rear disc for early Camaros but Firebirds never got one.

Yes, on the '69 Camaro, Chevrolet offered the JL-8 option...power four-wheel disc brakes. There were 202 Camaro built with the JL-8 option making it one of the rarest options.
