Hey plan to run 4 th gen Camaro breaks on my 70 Chevelle with a 12 bolt wondering what kind of master cylinder I would need and what kind of proportioning valve I would need kinda on a budget so cheaper the better

I used a 7/8 Wilwood Master cylinder on my 4th gen FBody brake set up. I bought the kit that came with the proportioning valve.

Got a picture of the set up and what did it cost. Can you use the stock brake booster?

If you want to run manual brakes, the least expensive option is a GM 15/16" bore MC. You can get them at your local parts store for about 35 bucks. It comes with a push rod (will need modification, but it's simple). These MCs have a deep pocket in the back of the piston where the push rod snaps in place.

Raybestos PN MC39946 or equivalent.

I did not use a booster. You can Google Wilwood 7/8 Master cylinder for a photo. The kit is about $300.

What front caliper are you using?

I'm using a set of cpp breaks up front and I don't need the booster?

If you want power brakes, you need a booster. If you want to run manual brakes, you can move the pushrod up to the upper hole on the pedal and use either a 15/16" or a 7/8" bore MC. With manual brakes the pedal is a little firmer but the feedback is excellent.

I like the wilwood proportioning valve

You will need additional parts

It may still be difficult to get good F/R balance if a large-bore single piston caliper is used on the front.
