      Front Control Arms

I'm building up a 70 GTO for performance/street/touring with modern 17's etc. A complete suspension upgrade is in the works and I'm familiar with all of the suppliers and options. I have 3 questions:

What is your take on adjustable front UCA's (SPC) vs fixed (UMI?) I'm generally a fan or factory-looking components. Any disadvantages to either?

And delrin vs poly or high-durometer rubber? This car might hit the roadcourse once or twice a year in the long run, mainly a street/touring car. How harsh is delrin, really?

And tall (B-body) spindles for use with about a 13" brake upgrade, vs stock with 1/2" taller upper and lower balljoints?

Real world opinions and experience please.

      Thanks.

Since no one has weighed in, I'll comment

One of my cars has fixed arms, one adjustable. Both work equally well, neither look much like stock. If shims REALLY bug you, you have your answer. I get an alignment, I replace the shims with steel rounds cut to the correct thickness. Are you sure you mean delrin when you say delrin? Never ran B spindles- bumpsteer and slow steering stories scared me off.

Call ridetech, talk to anyone or SC&C and talk too Marcus, he will talk your leg off but can point you in right direction.
Don't do goofy "fix" mods. Do more research. Talk to experts.
Tall ball joints should fix more than you think, and b-car spindles make stupid mess now that better ideas are avaialble .
Oh yeah if you use stock arms and tall ball joints, polygraphite are best bang for buck and quiet.
      Good luck.
