I have a 65 Chevelle with an AAW classic update harness, ididit column, and dakota digital vhx gauges. I'm modifying the stock Chevelle bezel and want to relocate the blinker indicators. Is it ok to not hook up the blinker wires to the dd control box? I'd like to just use some small LEDs that are hidden, so how do I hook up the LEDs to the turn signal wires?

This company sells a lot of cool indicator lights. I'm pretty sure they have the resistors built in so you can connect your existing indicator wires directly to them.

It shouldn't be a problem (not hooking up the wires to the vhx control unit). On my old covan dash, I used the 3 mm (same as 5/32) built in resistor type LED from radio Shack (same ones as in the AAW site mentioned above). They were only like $3 each. Easy to hookup, just a power (factory turn signal wires) and a ground. They are identical to these- http://www.detroitspeed.com/Electrical/120901-leds.html
