View Full Version : stumble troubles
My car has trouble bogging really bad when I launch the car. Even if I rev it up to 4500 rpm it will just bog... this problem just started and i'm not happy at all. It seems to have good power once I’m moving. If I get on it from a roll then it has good power. But if I rev it up and le the clutch out fast from a stand still it will die. I'm running an edlebrock carb. what should i do?

timing issue? detonation, wich could be timing related? not sure just throwing out some ideas.
check the spark plugs?
AFS
air fuel spark?
Really sounds like ignition...check that the distributor has not backed off. Happened to a brand new, expensive, shop-built 55 Chev running with us in Des Moines...everybody thought it was fuel...not me...I watch American Hotrod....every car that will not start with them is ignition timing.

Fuel delivery, Fuel delivery, Fuel delivery!!! If carburated install JET EXTENSIONS. Change to a better fuel pump.....Summit has tech info on fuel delivery. I had the same problem until I changed the above.
