ididit column w/ 3rd gen steering box

I searched around for "ididit 3rd gen" and didn't find anything, anyone done this swap in a 67 Bird? I'm about to purchase an ididit column and the output shaft is 1" 48 spline, they sell a rag joint for $100 from ididit which I thought was alittle high, anyone else have an alternative? My own option I came up with was to buy a 1" 48 spline coupler and weld it to a new 3rd gen coupler...? Any input is appreciated.

For anyone who ever finds this or needs column help, I used a Flaming River column and a 3rd gen (Firebird/Camaro 82-92) steering box. 1" DD x 3/4" 30 spline rag joint to hook'em together.
