I have a brand new crate LS3 430 hp motor still in the box. I got a great price on it with hopes of adding a cam to it to help boost the numbers a little but still keep it as a nice reliable driver quality motor. Has anyone used the Katech LS3 torquer cam? if i was going to do the cam what else on a brand new motor would you suggest swapping out while upgrading the cam?
thanks

That katech cam is a lil expensive for 500 dollars. I got a custom one for $425. Search ls1tech and see what cams they are using over there. They also have a dyno section.

Personally I think it's worth the extra few bucks, yes it probably is a comp cam or similar, my ls7 torquer was made by comp, but given the testing that Katech does, spintron etc if you go with there package it is generally trouble free. Maybe check on corvetteforum for some idle videos, dyno runs, feedback etc in the c6 area. Dan

Always check pushrod length and valve springs with cam change.
