Just wanted to share, it started life as a faux carbon fiber look. I don't have anything in my car that's carbon fiber.

I am mounting my turn signals from behind for a cleaner look, and also dremeled out a hole between the tach and speed which a panel lens with hi-beam, check engine, and brake warning led's are hiding behind.

I didn't want to just throw random led's in the bezel and call it a day like the pic below...going for more of a "what if the factory did it" look. Nothing wrong with this, I just think it can be improved on a little bit

I sprayed some texture paint on the bezel and it resembles the texture on a sheet of abs. After that I hit it with some sem landau black
Turned out pretty good so far

I installed my lens and wired up my led's. I basically cut up the lens from my new vintage kit for my install.
For the turn signals I drilled holes in the bezel and used nylon spacers to mount the led's from behind the arrow lens . I hot glued the lens first then the spacer...it's really bright lol
I wrapped tape around it to diffuse the light from lighting up the spacer

The lens actually has a texture face and blends in with the bezel when the led's aren't on...pretty low key

One thing I did notice was that my colors were reversed on the check engine and brake warning. I used the housing supplied by new vintage and the led's were already glued in. my kit came with a vertical lens and they sent me a horizontal lens free of charge so I guess there was a different layout between the two ....oh well it still looks pretty good
If I get some time I may make a new mount and re position the led's

Nicely done! I too dig making aftermarket parts morph into what would be an OE-type installation.

Very nice, it does look factory! Where did you get the panel lens with hi-beam, check engine, and brake warning led?

Thanks, it's part of a new vintage indicator kit that I dissected..
