I have a type 2 pump that's rated at 1200 psi, I'm going to add hydro boost and have a concern about the pump not having enough pressure to run the steering and brakes, the box is a gm 800 12:1. The steering has a little road feel to itand I think that's from lower pressure than factory Saginaw pumps put out.

You will need to have your pump set up for the hydroboost in order for it to handle the higher PSi. I would recommend calling Lee Manufacturing in Sun Valley, CA. 818-768-0371. I have used them numerous times for my different hydroboost set ups. They are by far the best vendor for this.

What do you mean setup, will they mod it to produce more psi, i may just buy a different pump if my current one is not enough.

Anyone tracking their car with hydro boost should get the Lee Manufacturung Crome Molly shaft for their old style P pump I've heard of stock shafts braking.

The car will be driven mostly on the street, if I have the time I may do an auto cross or two but with 2 young children thats probably not going to happen to often, but I'll definately look into the shaft just to be a safe.
