Hi guys-
ive got an order placed for the new Dakota Digital vhx black face w/ white lettering and red needles along with their matching console gauges for '69 Camaro. They have now delayed production (this is a new product for them) another 6 weeks. I'm getting a bit anxious and now wondering if I should go another direction. I really like the VHX functionality and easy upgrades but if I never get them...

Is anyone running stock-appearing gauges and can recommend them? I do need camaro console gauges in matching set. I like the look of Classic Gauges, etc but I think they do not offer a console set to match. Anyone running anything else I should know about?

thx,
Nick

New Vintage USA, Redline Gaugeworks - a couple to check out. I think Redline can do custom internals.

Thx Dale -

Anyone have experience with Redline Gauges? I'd like to keep the factory gauges and have them updated if these guys can do that...

Thx,
Nick

If the VHX is a style you really want, I say the wait is worth it.

I just got my set working in my Mustang and I have to say, I love them. Very easy to set up, nice late model style sealed weatherpack sensors and connectors, fully programmable, great backlighting. If I were to do it again, and didn't have a show I was working for as far as a timeline goes, I would wait 6 weeks for a set.

Thx Campbells - I keep hearing good things about VHX...I do want to wait but it's tough not having any working gauges and being out $$$ with continued delays. I'll try to cool my jets a bit... :)

Check out Speedhut gauges as well - you can more or less have them make the gauge face look like whatever you want, and quality is supposed to be really nice.

Ive used NVU and now Speedhut ... both very nice, NVU if you want stock look but as Phil states above Speedhut is the best quality Ive used to date, and full custom with GPS speedo
