So I am in the middle of installing my Wilwood master cylinder into my 67 Camaro and am confused on how to thread the push rod into the clevis on the brake pedal. The MC has the push rod installed and so it would need threaded into the clevis while mounted on the car. Removing the brake pedal assembly won't help since the two need to be bolted together. I assume Wilwood sells a clevis and pin for this maybe that is easier to remove then the factory one. I don't see how the factory one gets removed since it is tucked up inside the brake pedal assembly.

Any thoughts or tips on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Erik

There should be a clip on the brake pedal that hold the pin of the clevis in place. You should be able to remove the clip and the clevis will slide right off. I can get a picture of my set up tonight. Or remove the push rod from the M/C and crew it in from the engine compartment.

I wish it was that easy to do. The push rod is built into the MC and dont see how to take it apart install and then try to get the snap ring back on the MC. The pin holding the clevis on would not come out because it is up inside the brake pedal assembly. No room to pull it out.

But I was able to finish it up last night! I had to pull the pedal out of the pedal assembly and take it apart on the bench. The hardest part was actually the pedal return spring. With the column and the wiring harness in the way there really is no room to get pliers on the spring and re-install it. Possible but it ook along time and now my back hurts from twisting and turning under the dash for 2 hours.

good to hear that you got it.
that pesky little spring clip can be a real pain to get the pin out. It likes to drop into the snap ring groove.
