I am building a 1962 corvette with a LS2 & 4L60E trans. Needing a shifter that doesn't look like a race car shifter - any ideas?

Some of the Lokar ones look less "racecar".. Or you could adapt a late model Camaro one or something?

I used this one with a white knob in 59.

Yes it does have a lockout. The shifter ball is spring loaded. You just push down to shift out of park, reverse etc. It was very easy to install. It bolts to the floor. I used the original shift boot and console plate. Most people think it is an original shifter.

cool. i think i found my shifter! i was going to go with one out of a c6 but the knob just looks too out of place. i like the clean look of the smoothie.
