Okay so I got a 4l80e from some guy off Craigslist said it was rebuilt by gm but couldn't find the receipt so we settled on a fair price and took it home now I'm planning on using this with a ls3 is there anyway I can make sure the transmission won't break within a month of usage and what aftermarket controller and paddle shifters do you all recommend thanks

I recommend Twist Machine paddles, and either a US-Shift controller or PCS.

As for it not breaking, first thing to check would be to pull the pan off and see if there are a lot of shavings if you hadn't already done that before purchasing.

By the way were a Twist Machine dealer and USShift.
