Hello all, I pulled my front subframe and bushings out today and was dissapointed to see the condition of the body mount holes. Are these even repairable? if so how?
Thanks

Yes it's easily repaired. I think it's classic that sells a patch panel. You can also locate the center cut out the rusted area weld In a patch then use a hole saw to make a new hole.

I just cleaned the rust off, primed it and then welded a washer over the top. If I remember, I special ordered a 1 5/16" fender washer which was a true 1 3/8" hole.
I tried the hole saw approach, but my cheap hole saw was immediately flattened. I figured the washer was an easier solution

Thanks for the ideas guys, i found some plates as well, i wonder what would be my better option
Another way to go, make the repair 'washers' thick. Such that they become the body mounts. This kills two birds with one stone. The holes are repaired, and no separate body mounts are required.

I usually use washers from the local Fastenal. If you can only use them on the outside you won't need to modify the body mount thickness. If the core support us rusty I make a sheet metal patch for top & bottom, plug weld & drill hole.
