Hey guys,
I have a factory 1967 Camaro tilt column. I'm needing a little help finishing it to make it "steering wheel ready" . I had it rebuilt but I never had the cancel cam and hub stuff when I got it. I purchased a cancel cam from NPD part number C-2896-1A which came in a Trim Parts bag with the part number 5149 and it doesn't seem to fit, it doesn't come close to making contact with the horn contact due to hitting the upper bearing nut. ( see pics ). From what I understand I need a special spring ( which I can't seem to find available ) that goes on BEFORE the cancel cam and then I have to determine what hub I need to fit a MOMO steering wheel # MIL35BK1P .
Any steering column guru's out there that can guide me in the right direction. All comments appreciated.
Thanks
BB

Nobody experienced this before ? i'm thinking that NPD sent me the wrong part, they don't even show the spring I need to make this stuff work.

sorry cant help you there, the only two things I didn't build on my car was the steering column, I paid the local guy 30 bucks to do it, and the posi unit install was done at a local shop also for 300 bucks

Yeah I started then changed my mind on this one too, decided to send it out. I will get it figured out just trying to save some time by seeing if someone else has experienced this. I think it all boils down to the wrong cancel cam even though NPD says its the correct one. Thanks for the reply Rod :)
