I'm looking for a good (easy)way to remove window tint. Anyone have some good tips? The tint I want to remove is some cheezy, silver, 15 year old crap.
Thanks in advance,
Brett

razor blade, find a corner to start in and work from there.

Seems like humidity/steam/moisture does it - let a car with tinted windows get a bit moist on the inside, leave it closed up while the moisture evaporates and re-condenses.. the tint will come off whether you want it to or not.
Might take a little longer than you're wanting to wait, unless you've got one of those portable steamers.

go to the hardware store and get a 3 inch razor bade with a long handle, its usually in the paint department. The handle lets you use two hands , its way safer and easier.Use a lot of windex or soapy water to keep everything slippery. take off long strips an inch or two wide, if the blade stalls your taking off too much at once. I have removed window film from 20 foot tall windows so I have done my homework on this one.
Stay away from the razor blade in the hand method unless you like the emergency room.

I've used a razor blade and an alcohol  based window cleaner. I think it was "clear vue" or something like that. The alcohol helps break down the adhesive quicker.

wet the windows down. wrap the inside of the window air tight with plastic and let bake in the sun. for an hour. remove tint

cuda's right. A black plastic trash bag works great.

Black plastic bag trick. That was what I was looking for. I had heard something about that years ago, but couldn't remember the details.
Thanks for all the replies.

I was told by a window tinter...ammonia is what he uses. Just call one and ask what they recommend.
