I have searched and believe I know the answer to this but want to confirm. Can the Vintage Air system be used with an LS based compressor?(LS1,LS3,Etc) Is anyone out there using the LS compressor with it or has everyone went with Sanden compressor?Only reason I ask is a vendor told me I could use the LS compressor and bracket with the Vintage Air kit for my 72 Camaro. Looking for confirmation. ThanksFYI:1972 Camaro with Vintage Air Sure Fit for Factory Air car.LS3 5th Gen Camaro Engine and Accessories.Mounting Compressor low passenger side with notched subframe.

Nope. The passenger car compressors will not work as they are variable displacement.
The truck compressors will operate a VinAir unit as they are fixed displacement.

So I could use a LS truck compressor with the VA set up? This may work since the 5thgen accessory brackets use a truck offset. Any certain year truck compressor or are they all the same?
EDit: Googled Vintage air Fixed Displacement.....I have a ton more reading to do. Thanks for the info.

I believe the Caddy CTSV uses a fixed displacement compressor as well.

I've read that as well though it might vary, not sure if the 6.2s do or do not.
