Im getting ready to install new front seats in my '70 Chevelle and was wondering if anybody has any info, good or bad on the Corbeau LG1 seats? The car currently has a bench seat with a lap belts. Installing the 4 point harness on both sides and was also wondering how they mount up. Any info is appreciated.

That's what I bought for my 70 Chevelle, I would show some pics but they are not in the car right now. couple things I noticed are the brackets from corbeau need to move the seat over about another inch towards the center of the car to be centered, and I am going to have to do something a little custom for the rear mounts otherwise the seats are going to be at steep angle towards the back, I want them more level on the floor pan.

Other than those two small issues, there awesome seats...

thanks for the info guys. id like to see some pix when ya get em installed. i wonder if Planted makes a better bracket, if not modifying the Corbeau brackets shouldnt be to tough.

So I finally got em installed. I had to build my own support brackets under the floor pan in order to tie the inside bolts into something with some structure, but other than that it was a simple install. Does anybody know if there is a bracket sold that adapts bench seat floor pans for buckets? Everything is solid under there, just looks home made.8878488783

They look great! How is getting in and out with that much side bolstering? And how is the headroom? I'm 6'6" so I need all I can get, especially with a helmet.

Really nice seats. If they were FIA approved I would have definitely went with these.

Not to bad getting in and out, they actually come with directions telling ya not to slide over the bolstering so it doesn't wear out. would be a bit easier if I had a tilt column. They sit lower than the bench that was in there but my head was in the liner with that seat.

I realize this is an older thread but I'm looking to use the same type of seats and this popped up on a search. The seats look great, but the shoulder belt mount is a bad idea. The shoulder straps need to mount over a roll bar or at least a harness bar. It they are mounted to the floor like it looks in the picture, you're setting yourself up for potential injury. In a front collision as you move forward the belts will do little to slow you at that angle. Additionally they will pull down on your shoulder causing serious back compression.
