69 Camaro firewall insulation (factory juke mat) installation after shaving firewall?

Hey guys, I have recently shaved my firewall and was wondering what anyone else has done when filling all the little holes in that are used to install the OEM juke mat. I have sprayed lizzard skin, and also done the ceramic top coat, then a foil stick on sound deadener. But I would like the factory firewall pad to cover it all.

Has anyone installed the juke mat by using spray adhesive? I also had an idea of using 3m panel bond to glue some type of faster to the inside...

Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

I would suggest you use accoustic foam. I used Volara foam and it was very effective! The Ensolite is peel and stick and may be easier to use.

Thanks! That looks like it will work great. How much material did you use? I would guess 2 yards should cover it?

I don't remember. I think I bought 5 yards of foam. I put it in the rear quaters, doors etc. and lined the interior of the car. I just bought some ensolite to do my inner roof structure but it hasn't arrived yet. I used 3m spray glue to stick the Volara on top of the sound deadning mat. If you knock on my panels they sound completely dead!

Check out the tutorial on the Raamaudio website. I hadn't seen it until I placed my recent order but it explains exactly how proper sound deadning should be done and is basically the approach I had already taken.
