      Vintage Air Heater fittings,

I need somebody to line me out on the va gen IV heater fittings, They are both the same size on the heater core. I have 3/4 and 5/8 heater hoses off the ls3 waterpump. What is the best way to attach to heater core and also on the water pump, or do I just buy the hose that is 3/4 and reduces to 5/8 from vintage air? Does it matter what line goes to what port on water pump and heater core?
      Thanks

The rear port on the WP is feed to heater core.

To attach, hose clamps- either worm or gates heat shrink clamps.

Gates makes a lot of different lengths with 3/4 on one end and 5/8 on the other. Scroll down a little bit here: http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/x,mfrn...ater_Hose.html

      Thanks Jeff,,
I see they offer a 60" 5/8x3/4 I will have to order it up, I saw some of your cars at the Carcraft Summer Nationals. Work looks great, Black Chevelle was my favorite.

I pull the factory heater sleeves out of the water pump and run an NPT tap into the holes. They are perfectly sized for 3/8 and 1/2 NPT taps, and V/A sells NPT-to-A/C adapters so you can use A/C hose and hose ends.

^^^That works too. Now VinAir just needs a heater control valve with 1/2" nipples so we can run the EZ clip hose right to it.

Another option is to use AN fittings on the heater hose, which alows you to use regular heater hose that you can secure with Gates Power Grip clamps then use a regular hose clamp to secure it to the heater control valve.
