Cutting package tray to fit around roll cage. Pros step inside!

Looking for help on how to layout and cut once.. LOL

Im trying to fit my rear package tray(brand new) to my 72 Chevelle. I have to work it around the rear roll cage bars. What is my best route on layout methods and tools to cut the package tray with?

Find the centerline of the package tray in two spots and draw a line,use that line to put a square on over towards the tubes. At that point it's just a matter of measuring...using squares together for clear clean lines to measure...plot the lines on to the new package tray and make your holes cut a small slit in the far side...nearest the Window so it can slide around the tubes and lower into position

you could also make a cardboard template that fits... then transfer the holes on the template to the package tray
