View Full Version : Are 1/4" wheel spacers safe

I have done many searches to check whether or not this is a good idea with no real answer. My front wheel is flexing just enough to touch the tie rod end and 1/4" would cure the problem and give me 1/2" clearance between the two. I have also installed a g-link and minitubs in the rear and I will be widening the wheels on the inside to run a 335 tire which I may have to slightly adjust outwards to make perfect. Just to say NO I don't want to replace these wheels. So with that said will a billet wheel spacer work for this safely and should it be a custom hubcentric piece.

I'm running a 1/4" spacer with my track wheels and slicks, it's perfectly safe...with a caveat. You have to have lug studs long enough that the lug nut will still fully engage with the spacer in place.

its safe as long as the wheel studs are long enough, if you dont have long studs that will be the failure point

They are long studs so that won't be an issue. I just need to tweek the wheel placement to not have any problems front or rear. I was looking at the Baer spacers that are available and figured those are ones I could trust for being correct as opposed to the old ebay tricks. Any others out there anyone would suggest
