Hi Guys, Its been a long time since I've posted. I wanted to share with everyone what we've been doing with one of our projects. I call it Maximus its a 1968 charger that we are building to show off Nelson Supercars and what we are capable of doing with metal. We are working very hard for this to be in the DynoMax's booth at SEMA in bare metal this year. I hope you enjoy the progress photos, its been really fun building this.

Okay ,We built a frame table for the Charger just because we knew this thing was going to get filleted up. Then we cut the quarters off rough so when it went to blast it would get everything. We sent it out to Freddy at A&M and had it blasted. And started cutting out the cancer.

Okay ,so we got it on the frame table and started basically cutting the car down to nothing. We decided the floors weren't worth saving so we found a really awesome floor section in the junkyard, and cut it out of the car and drilled all the spot welds out then blasted and fit it into the car. I really wanted a stock floor piece because they fit much nicer and at this time in the project we didn't no we were going to go so hog wild on the car. We then just kept cutting because nothing looked good and I did not want to fix some rust and know there was more. So here are some shots.

Just a bunch more rust and a bunch more cutting I really bit off a metal restoration on this one. Pretty cool you can take a car down so far and bring it back better than new.

It reminds me on the charger I owned, many years ago. It took tons of welding to get the body back in good shape.

I have to say that makes me feel lucky with mine, the rust was no where near that bad. Also the AMD floors that I got for mine fit great but I cannot deny that I admire you guys for all the work it must have taken to cut out a floor like you did there. What are the plans for the car?

Tom, at least you started with a decent car.....lol! I've been following the build via Youtube and WOW! 2000+hp GEN 2 Hemi, i'm really glad to see you exploring the power handling abilities of those engines.

I have to Geek out for a second and say Tom Nelson, you and your team are my hero(s)!! Ive seen all of your youtube videos, and im sure this charger wont disappoint. With a corvette front suspension what are you doing to the rear? With as far as you guys have gone I would just get rid of the rear subframe as well. And with that much power I imagine you'll be sticking to an auto? Good luck!

So while everything was cut out and easy to get to we decided to tie in the chassis with these custom frame connectors.Whats neat about doing it this way is they clear the floor.

Really happy to watch your build of the roll cage since I will be doing one in mine in about a month or so. We actually have some similar concepts for our cars like corvette front suspension and turning the hood louvers into heat extractors. The car looks awesome (as if you guys would do it any other way...)

What kind of engine is that behind you guys in those last few pics?

THE TRUTH BEHIND TOM'S LIES
I have had a number of people comment and ask why Tom has not begun defamation, slander and libel proceedings, further Tom is now contacting people from the page to provide misleading information and outright LIES! So here are the FACTS
Fact 1,TOM"S legal team accepted the judgement. The Superior Court of California document acceptance by Lloyd Mann, Tom's attorney (Mann & Zarpas LLP) An admission of guilt.
Fact 2, The judgement was accepted in its entirety, All 4 defendants, Nelson Racing Engines, Nelson Racing Enterprises, Tom Nelson & Larry Lewis accepted all fault, dishonesty and liability.
Fact 3, The judgement was not negotiated. In a negotiated judgement both sides agree and neither side admits liability. THIS NEVER HAPPENED!
Fact 4, TOM PAID THE JUDGEMENT. An unmitigated admission of guilt & fault.
According to the California Superior Court Tom Nelson is a proven FRAUDSTER and is not to be trusted.
My personal goal is to ensure that no one else has to endure the same expensive frustrating experience I have.
