No , Cougars have a deep enough front wheelwell that flares should not be needed .

What offset are you going with in the front? I'd like to know so I put that into consideration when I get my front set later down the road

I wanted to share this video about a small local company that I've dealt with since I was 16 ( 42 years ago) and got into cars .

Here's an update on what's going on . FedEx dropped off my wheels yesterday but the driver somehow left a box on the truck that contained the wheel lugs , valve stems and a few other parts . That box will now be delivered on Tuesday since Mondays a holiday . I was wanting to get the tires mounted today and get them on the car but now I'll have to wait till next Saturday , damn ! . Moving on , I've wet sanded the car with 1000 grit so now I can mask the car , clean it and clear it . Also I've modified the headlight housings and finished up fabricating the headlight mounting bases , I think these are going to look killer when their done .

Those wheels will look fantastic. I am also eager to see how the headlights turn out. One of the things I don't like about my Cougar is the rather crappy headlights.

I think so too Andrew , as for the stock headlights . I really like the idea of hideaway lights but I've never been a fan of the Cougar set up . 69 Camaro on the other hand , GM got it right .

Did you have to modify the headlight bucket for clearance issues on the back side?

Yes I did . You can see in the picture that I posted of the housing of the area that was modified . I removed the protruding corner and glued in a block off and sealed it with silicone . This area of the housing is hollow , it served as a mount .

My brain hurts , I'm learning (watching YouTube) just how the Holley Dominator EFI works and how to program it . This thing is amazing . I'm not the best with simple computer tasks so this set up will challenge me for sure . It's sinking in slowly . It's all installed and connected now , fingers crossed .

If you need any help, let me know... I've come to know the Dominator and software pretty well as I tuned my car over the course of several years.

Wheel and tire combo looks great on there. Saw the backspacing on the front (5.5") but what did you run on the rear, 6.0"? Did you have to roll the fender lips or massage the frame rails to fit those 295's? Wondering how much I can stuff under there with discs on a stock width rear and Global West's Del-A-Lum bushings on leaves.

5.5 bs on the rear as well . I installed the Detroit Speed mini tub/frame rail kit to fit a wider tire .
