      Does it really fit????
Huh, us fabricators don't care about little details about not meant to fit or doesn't exist in nature, only our final results.

Lookin good, my current favorite thread & I'm mainly a GM guy.

So if the car has an Aston Martin engine, I guess it needs Aston Martin door handles with LED's.

So Last night I rough milled a form. This morning I finished it with a file and made a test piece and checked the fit.

Door handles before exhaust and steering? Are you saving the most fun for last? :^)

How do you expect the weight distribution to change from the iron 289? That Aston piece hangs waaay out front of where the Ford was, although it is aluminum. Are you building a cruiser, or for competition as well?

I have set the motor as far back as I can after flattening the firewall. The transmission is completely in the tunnel. I am hoping to see a similar weight balance with E fact that it is an aluminum motor. I am building a toy for Saturdays and might try for an optima Shootout if I can get the handling right. I am only 10 miles from Summit Point Motorsports Park. I will do some testing there.

What rack lines are you using? I'm putting in a fox rack should be the same.

Exhaust will be last. I have the headers, so I can figure the u-joints. May take 3, but not sure yet. Gotta get the car off the build rack and on its own suspension next month (at least the front as I am building the rear frame for the IRS).

Finally welded in the extensions. Floppyness in the aprons disappeared at that point. Will still be running support braces behind them and an export brace style brace once the engine is in.

I am interested in this fan setup for my radiator. Could you elaborate where you got it?

A little work on the lathe and some aluminum and it fits. Powermaster 1 wire alternator. No special board to get output from the Am alternator now!

Attempt at the Door handle sheet metal in the drivers door! Started welding and realized I'm out of gas! Time to go home! Pick up more in the morning!

I dig the fab work and originality here. If BMW can achieve a 50/50 balance with a straight six stretching past the front axle centerline, you can too!
