Went out last weekend in search of some nice driving roads. Found that the Zestino Gredge 07rr also work well as all terrains.

I did manage to find some nice windy roads to play on but unfortunately they were all plagued with minivans and SUVs. I will have to venture out when it isnt a holiday long weekend (Thanksgiving in canada) when the roads are clearer.

switched out the old dome light bulb for an LED panel to really light up the interior

Finally managed to go up north of the city with a couple friends and enjoy the bumpy twisty roads. The first leg of the drive was really technical but the roads were so bad that we couldnt take advantage of them. We thought of turning around but then were blessed with 7-10kms of twisty new pavement.

      The trees were spectacular colours.

The second leg had many smooth long sweeping corners which were just as fun as the tight technical roads.

On the way home my heater core decided to empty itself into the passenger foot well.

With the colder, shorter days leaving little time to pull the dash, I've temporarily looped the lines so I can get the car to storage this weekend. It will be next spring jordies problem.

Ive pulled the font lip so I can repair it and have copies made

Friday night I drove over to the local coin op and gave it a final scrub before winter.

Got home and made sure to dry everything as best I could. It looks naked without the front lip.

Took the final (spirited) drive of the year about an hour outside of the city where it will be stored until April - May (weather depending)

All tucked away with a couple slabs and a sea of Corvettes.

This is where the thread takes its annual transitions from car posts to parts posts. This year I had focused on driving the car and working out small kinks since I put it back together.

Last weekend Santi took me lapping in his Silvia. We tried our best to keep up with an older 911. He got away but it was fun to try and keep pace :2f2f:

Now im keen to give it a go. Our local drifting scene in ontario is abysmal (youtube shannonville drift to get the gist of it) There are closer tracks to me which do not condone drifting but offer evening lapping events weekly and are reasonably priced.

Winter plans are not that extensive.

      - New Coilovers (my fronts have self lowered since driving this year)
      - JDM Trinket Bucket Seat
      - Rails (Been eyeballing street faction rails but who knows)
      - Change the rear tires from 255/35 to 225/40 (Same tires just different sizes)
      - Maintenance stuff (Speedo Cable and other oddities)
      - I still want to swap out the wing for something else. but YJP prices have skyrocketed lately :-/

      Till next time.

The Skyline is still locked away for the winter. Not much of a build but I've recently got better pictures from our friend on our fall drive outing. Whilst we were all playing with cell phone cameras he managed to get some real shots.

      Enjoy:

New Coilovers and smaller rear tires should fix the awful rake the car developed over the summer.

The one and only rolling shot I have of the car :D

Once Christmas is over I will get to stockpiling some parts to make this car more enjoyable for lapping days. I already cant wait for winter to be over.

Happy New Year to everyone, I hope you all had a great holiday season.

Lets kick 2017 off with some 90s Confetti! There was really no other option for a super period build.

I managed to pick this up at a local importers for about what they were going for on YJP. Saved a bunch by not having to pay for shipping or duties which sealed the deal for me.

They only had the one seat which leaves the option open for a fixed bucket for a drivers. Alternatively I could just get a matching seat as they are not that uncommon.

My wife got me a GoPro Session for Christmas to use at the track next year too. Im pretty happy with the quality of pictures and phone integration. With it came the $20 dog mount for good laughs.

      Ripping.

Hope y'all weren't holding your breath.

So much has happened in the past 2 ish years so here is a little recap.

"Finished" up the interior with a 2nd Recaro

Replaced the Heatercore (which is now leaking again)

The majority of my friends are into drifting but the vast majority of drifting participants local to us see the sport as a glorified demolition derby.

Over the past couple of years some friends and I have started hosting some skidpad days which have started a good following. The events were invite only and intended to give like minded people a place to drift without having to worry about a $300 BMW sliding into your door.

Drifitng is extremely hard on the car and after putting so much time and effort into it I didnt want to risk it anymore. Last year I got bitten by the lapping bug pretty badly.

I think everyone should try it at least once, as there's so much to learn and it easily shows you the strong / weak points in your build.

For my first time out I think I did 4 or so 10 min sessions in my car. I went with a friend who agreed to show me the ropes. I hopped in his car (600whp GTST) for the first while to learn the course. Then switched back to my car, which felt painfully slow) for the next few sessions to follow his line and have his record me driving.

I had a blast. It was a really hot day but the car stayed cool. New bumper helped out with this. As you can see I also took off the rear wing.

Next up was patching up the holes in the build which were made apparent on the track. First up was brakes. For the money, you cant beat the powerstop trackday pads (available on rock auto)

Went back out and realized the car needed more power.

The R33 Turbine swap was fairly standard bolt-on procedure which went fairly smoothly. If youre doing this swap be sure it comes with all the standard RB25 drains as well as the rb25 inlet and it is a 100% bolt on affair. Also swapped over the rb20 wastegate actuator for 10psi goodness. No retune required, This turbo is just a little bigger so it doenst fall off at high RPMS

At this time I should mention that through all this we did a massive reno on our little house. (so you dont wonder where the garage came from)

Anyways, Back to the car. Bigger rotors and and Oil cooler were next on the list.

got some 350z "track package" rotors which can be picked up locally and are less that $80 for the pair. Similarly sized skyline rotors are $400+

Picked up a Genuine Blitz Oill cooler for a steal from FRSport

Got it all back on the road with some new Nankang NS2-R tires. 225/40/18 up front and 235/40/18 in the rear

I wouldnt be on Protouring if I didnt throw some V8 parts at it right?!?

      L9Q coil pack upgrade.

[/url]2019-02-26_10-57-30 by Jordie Lewis, on Flickr

Bent up some ducting for the oil cooler

Quick lick of paint to match the bumper as well as some edge gasket to protect the sharp edges.

Also changed up my catch can setup as the one I had made wasnt adequately baffled. $25 amazon special which is an exact copy of the mishimoto unit fit the bill and works awesome.

      Got fancy clamps

      Time to test everything

Car ran rock solid all day. 20 min lapping sessions and the car never saw 85* on either oil or coolant temp. The NS2Rs worked amazing and the minor brake upgrade completely transformed the car.

This pretty much brings us to present day. Ill do my best to keep this updated, Its been quite the busy couple of years haha

Back from the dead again. My other forum (zilvia) has recently been shut down. so Ill try and get this back up to date.

Its been quite the year for everyone. We have decided take advantage of the extremely hot housing market here in Toronto, cash out and move outside the city. The plan is to move south of Ottawa where our money can go a little further in terms of space and number or garage(s)

we listed our house in the beginning of September 2020 and it sold for over asking in under a week which was crazy. The house showed amazingly well and I am super happy to have nice professional photos to remember the house by.

Closing date is the end of November 2020 . We have rented until we get our new place March 2021

Below are some of the images from the listing.

Drone shots to show the park which wraps around the property.

Our new place is located outside Brockville which is just south of Ottawa on the St Lawrence.

completely different style but the extra space is great.

Things admittedly went downhill in the looks department. My Tommykaira wheels I paid $400 for were now worth 2K so I sold them, My friend hit a raccoon and needed his bumper back. I tried to fit too large of a wheel / tire in the back and my soft (read rusty) rear quarters didn't take nicely to the fender roller. Banana wing didn't help either. Consider this the awkward teenage years but for cars. I've always liked the look of Street / Track GTR's from over seas. They mostly sport OEM bumpers and side skirts but have canards and winglets for that added bit of aggressiveness.

Mechanically the car is gone through a minor transformation. Mainly adapting GTR individual throttles to the RB20det. I have also added larger GTR injectors, a highflowed turbo and some other odds and ends here and there.

I dropped the car off for paint the other day so ill try and keep you guys updated.

Your old place was super cool, but it is hard to argue about all the extra shop space in the new place. Glad to see some updates on this.
