Get some rest Eric, you're gonna need it! I'm supposed to meet Adam at 7:15 in Cumming at the Walmart at 400 & 20 so we should be at the track by about 8:30. So who else is gonna make it?

Wow...the track was incredible. Lots...lots of ups and downs and some straights so you could open it up. Most cars were hitting 110 plus. A fun day and great time with friends!!!! Thanks for the rides and Jacob, the Mustang is sweet!! Thanks for the rides!

Impromptu Track Day - Atlanta Motorsports Park - Last Weekend of December

      http://youtu.be/UEvqvIQm83Q

This is an early 3 lap I took with my iPhone on a suction cup mount. I got faster and faster and was hitting 90+ before the braking zone at turn one. My 40year old Saginaw power steering pump overheated and boiled out about 2:30 so I was just giving ride-alongs after that. Got a chance to give Jim Grayson, Susan and Jessica rides before heading home. It was awesome, the track is crazy-twisty and the blind hills are a blast to climb. I can't wait to get back with a pump cooler!

Great shots Eric. I hope Jim Grayson gets some posted too. The Duster is super fast and sounds great, very well sorted out. I'd like a ride along next time!

Thanks for posting the pics and videos! I'll check out the vids at home tonight. I haven't heard the name Jim Grayson in quite a while - didn't even know he was still around!

Impromptu Track Day - Atlanta Motorsports Park - Last Weekend of December

Jim's car is gone and his computer has issues but he's still with us in spirit. He took some great shots of our cars from the towers. I'll try to put some up if he gets them to me somehow.

I picked one of Eric's laps after he had passed me in that video and got about 1:41-1:42. Pretty quick.

Just picked one of the other videos on YouTube...Nissan GTR and newer 5.0 Mustang were running 1:40-1:41. And I heard one of the 5.0's in our group yesterday was turning 1:38 with a good driver.

Not bad for a 40-year-old Duster to keep up with those sweet rides!
