      Lance,

I don't know that adding the oil pressure switch in line is needed or desirable. It'll be annoying to have long cranking times.

Thanks, I never really noticed a delay in cold starting with the Q jet as long as there was fuel in the bowl so I think pressure gets to the switch pretty quick. I'm now reading that I should use either of those two switched 12v leads to fire a relay to light the ECU 12v switched wires. Some say those pink wires can be noisy...

I really am struggling for room to put all of this extra wiring, with factory AC available real estate on pass side fender area is slim pickings... Plus, my head hurts when I start thinking about wiring relays...

Relays are simple. Main power going in and then back out when relay is activated. Ground and power to relay to make it activate, either of which can be switched to turn the relay on and off.

I would look into one of those Bussmann power distribution modules. There is a version with two busses. One for the 30 pins and one for trigger pin (86?). You can activate all relays with the pink wire and run the red/white wire for the ECU off that and have room for other devices.

It's not that part it's more the where do I put it, how do I mount it, which one to buy, crimping all the connectors blah blah blah... :D

The main issue is no room to put anything neatly...

The Bussmann panels are very tidy and have mounting tabs, and also have optional brackets. Terminals are Metripack 280 tangless. I can guide you along...or fly me out and I'll do the install :-)

I'll post something later today. In the meantime, feel free to browse the waytekwire website.

So my fan harness has these three relay holders and relays that are modular, slide together and mount cleanly. Does anyone know where I can buy similar relay holders so that I can add onto what I already have? Or find something similar...I need to add 3 maybe 4 more relays to power the EFI stuff up cleanly.

      Lance,

If you have that many relays, I would be looking at a power distribution module that has an integral buss bar to distribute the power. Also, you now have the ability to run the fans via pwm off the HP ECU. I would consider going that route. It will allow you to have variable speed on the fan(s) and eliminate the inrush current spike when the fans turn on.

      Not helping!!!

I'm trying to find a distribution module that isnt overkill and huge...then I'll find someone to pin all those wires into it for me. Thanks...

Thanks Andrew. So I ordered these to match what I already have...then realized I also need to get the pins that go in them to attach wires to the back. Not having ever done any pinning of terminals before, what exactly do I need beside these sockets to finish wiring 3 relays up? Do I need any special crimping tool? What holds the pinned wires into the sockets? Is there a kit I can pick up that has everything I need?

I haven't read the Summit page (will do when I get home), but I suspect those relay holders use Packard 56 female terminals. They require special crimper tools, but they are not expensive.

Looks like Summit doesn't sell the pins either...

Why don't you pop a wire out of one of your existing relays and post a picture?

It is not clear from the description on the Summit page as to what terminals should be used, but I suspect that Packard 56 terminals will work:

      12 gauge:
      https://www.waytekwire.com/item/3203...ose-Terminal-/

      16-14 gauge:
      https://www.waytekwire.com/item/3103...ose-Terminal-/

I would definitely use the terminals from Waytek (genuine Delphi parts) and not the ones suggested on Amazon:
      https://www.amazon.com/Uxcell-Brass-...BDW9CC86YSXY9G

I recently got these crimpers, and they work decently well:

Those are similar to the ones I posted in the Amazon link. I would use the genuine Delphi terminals. You can see how much more contact area they have and will retain the relay better.
