thanks Wayne! also thanks Traven, I bought smooth then I added a little 63 grandsport flavor. I'm also mounting it to the lower bed portion rather then overlapping which is what most do. building a house sooo the truck build is on the back burner, but the burner is still lit!
first pre-fab on the sway bar. further done Im dressing up the original a-arm mounts.

who has an opinion? on red fuel cell or gray same as frame. will be putting all polished ARP hardware everywhere. i,m on the fence, red is race and the gray would be classy. so whats your vote? anyone?

Great job on everything so far!! As to the cell, Go gray, It will blend like it is not even there. I like your color choice for the frame and suspension. My son and I chose to do the same on his 51 Truck build.

Yeah I'd probably make the tank less of a feature with the color

Man this thing sits just right. I'm in the planning phase of a 53' chev and I'm torn between 3 and 4 link. I'd prefer 3 link like you've done, but I'm concerned about the height of the bed floor. Do you plan to run a usable bed?

I think the fuel cell color depends on if you want the build to be in your face red rugged or Gray if you want stealthy.. You can't loose with either color. I like the gray suspension color. I liked the gray color to be used on mine, but because of my miss communication it was all done black.

Nice set up, my 69 Z/28 had the air cleaner that went to the firewall and it had a soft coupler to allow for movement. I love the side shot, looking good!

Thank you! It is, but also there will be a 1/8” gap between the firewall ducting-air cleaner duct. A thin rubber boot will be mounted inside. The Cab is also solid mounted.
