      I'm new here but I'm wanting to build a pro touring Monte Carlo I have a 1972 in good shape but my plans are a lq4 with 4 spd for now if I'm going to build this I want to do it right the first time! Lookn to upgrade motor later. My question is what's a good way to fit big tires in the back set ride height? I want it low and wide. Any help would be great! Pics to

      Call Mark @ SC&C he can get you a good set up, without modification to the frame or minni tub I wouldnt go any bigger than a
      rim: 17x9.5 w/ 5.5'' back spacing and tire: 275/40/17 I never got to the rims before I sold mine but here is a few pics with the suspension in

      I had 18x10s on a 5.75" backspace with 285/40s on the back of my '72. It's a tight fit, but it's doable if you take careful measurements.



      I'll have new wheels with less backspace on there shortly along with a slightly narrowed 12 bolt and Torino-style housing ends.
