      To Do List...

It would be an honor to have you down sometime and help get me inspired. I am on the North Shore so pretty far from Taunton, looks like they do nice work there.

Feels like there is so much to do and the list never ends. I am sure when I hear it fire up for the first time it will make me want to finish to get it out on the road again.
Every so often I need to remind myself how far the GTO has come from when I bought it 33 years ago.

      Custom Dash

Ok this took a while but I made some progress on dash, so many little custom brackets.
Speedhut gauges installed, new Flaming River tilt column, Ron Francis key-less ignition (RFW-IS10)

Still lots to do but happy to be working on it again!

      3in Exhaust

      Quick update,
I finished welding the the exhaust up to the mufflers, going to do tailpipes under rear end later.
Went with the black Speedway bushings for the mount brackets close to pipe since they have a higher temp rating.

      DEI Titanium wrap 2" x 100' roll
Used the adhesive spray on the exhaust to help wrap it tight, I am sure it will burn off. Will be adding more stainless zip ties.

      Hey Andrew,

For the trans tunnel I went with a sheet of Speedway Motors, Aluminized Heat Barrier, 40 x 36 Inch PN 70414001 and I used silicone to adhere.
For the bottom of the floors I used DEI adhesive backed Floor and Tunnel Shield, with the DEI tape perimeter.

I used the same DEI product between my mufflers and floorpan , simple install .

      Fuel

I have been picking away at all the details for a while now, but it will be a big boost for my motivation to push hard and get things done once I hear it run.
Excited that my buddy who owns a well established Porsche speed shop will soon be sorting out the wiring and helping me finally get it fired up.
      http://autobahnperformance.com/

Hoping to drop it off in a week or so.

Looking for tips on what type of gas to dump into the fuel cell?
Was thinking the Sunoco 260 GTX 98 Octane Race Fuel?

I really dont want to have an ethanol fuel sitting in the lines for months while car is still being worked on.

      Halogen Headlight Conversion

Getting some of the little things done while the wiring is getting finished.
After searching most of the posts here on headlights I went with a set of the Autopal Halogens.

      http://rimiusa.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=12

Blacked out headlight trim and grills since the chrome was pretty rough.

      First start

Amazing day today, got to fire up the GTO and test out the clutch and brakes in the parking lot!
So glad that things went smoothly, only had a couple fittings that leaked, power steering fluid and one at the oil cooler, just had too finish tightening them.
We cranked it over (with fuel pump relay out) on and off for maybe one minute total until we saw oil pressure. Then once the fuel pump cycled a couple times it fired up, I had to pedal it and keep giving it some gas to keep it running. We noticed after that the throttle body was totally shut so after adjusting the stop it fired up much quicker and had a better idle. Once we adjusted the fuel pressure regulator to around 65 it was happier too.

Still a long way to go but this is a big push in the right direction.
I need to figure out how to post a video here, will try tomorrow.

Sometimes I post quick updates when I cant find the time to update the thread here so if you guys want to follow along on my Instagram it is ekmxryda

      Progress

Still making slow progress, this year has been tough.
I was finally able to widen the inner fenderwells last week.
      Raptor lined the insides.
Hope to bolt the fenders on tomorrow.
