Moved to a new home so the car has been on the back burner for a while. Bit the bullet and started buying parts again. Cold-Case radiator installed. Hoses are Gates 22358 (upper) Gates 20734 (lower). Re-thinking the fuel setup-- going to go with an inturnal fuel pump with a baffeled tank. Found that Holley makes a filter/regulator similar to the Corvette setup, pretty sweet. Soon as this weather breaks I have to get the car out of the garage and give her a bath!

Valve train upgrade with Comp Cams trunnion kit part #13702TL-KIT. The powerhouse tool is way better than using washers to press in and out bearings. It's magnetic and clings to the vise so you don't need 100 hands to hold parts. Had all 16 done in about an hour.Name: 1.jpg

Cleaned up some booger welds, painted with high-temp paint, and now wrapped... looks way better now. Slowly chipping away.

      LS Throttle Cable Bracket

I purchased a few different throttle cable brackets and just couldn't stand how they looked. The FiTech bracket mounts between the throttle body and the intake but couldn't understand why they made it a 2 piece design... so second purchase was the Holley Sniper bracket. I really liked how it mounted to the fuel rail, but, the bracket it self was hideous looking.....Way too tall, holes were double the size they needed to be so the Lokar throttle cable didn't fit as it should, plus the bracket didn't fit the contour of the intake. I tried cutting off the top portion of the bracket to see if I could "make it work" but I just hated it. I bought some .25" plate aluminum and decided to make one. After a few different drawings on the chip board, I finally had something I liked. I'm not much of a metal worker, but, pleased on the outcome.

      Engine Bay

I think I finally have the engine bay done. Aside from running the fan harness and throttle cable, it's almost time to bump the key ((again)). I'm interested in seeing how the FiTECH EFI compares to the tuned E38 set up.

Wiring is about buttoned up. Still have to do the battery disconnect, line lock, & E-Brake.

Was going to reinstall the old interior, but, it was showing it's age both the vinyl and in the frame.. i've done this much work so far so new interior it is. Took the old covers off, sand blasted the frames and intstalled a PUI Interior kit # 81FS70C. very happy with the quality.
