I agree, it does flow well and it's cool that you're bringing old school customs to the modern pro touring world. Keep up the good work!

Had to start shaping the rear spoiler so I could finalize rear quarter shape. Aluminum parts will be tig welded into an assembly, but possibly may bond to my aluminum cover to not warp the F out of it & ruin all of the bodywork on it.

Getting spoiler tig welded. Hadn't welded aluminum in approx. 3 years, so i'm a little out of practice. Not show off pretty, but it's stuck together & will be ground & sanded anyways. Name: 20190103_233402.jpg

Ended up welding spoiler to bedcover instead of gluing. definitely an ugly weld partly due to old aluminum still not clean enough , but it'll be ground & filled. Used lots of clamping & bracing to keep straight when welding & used wet rags a few inches back to stop excess heat soak into paint.

Fitting & welding in parts to underside of remodeled spoiler/bedcover. Welds are getting better from better pre-cleaning .Name: 20190108_231209.jpg

Attached bedcover sides. Bedcover weighs in at 55 1/2 lbs for now, less than the 78 lbs it used to weigh . Now I can get back to finishing quarter panel.

      Ha Ha 76TA.
Getting rear upper vette bumper cover turned into a functioning tailgate. Had to make it slide back , then drop down. Design of hinges has a drop stop to eliminate the need for cables, at least for light duty use.
Wonder what I could charge to make an appearance in a transformers movie.

Drove this thing around a little since I've had no time to work on. It definitely confuses a few vette owners.

Posting or driving an unfinished vehicle can lead to criticism, but at least it ain't what they call cookie cutter.

Both the paint and the wood turned out great. You don't see many real customs that are executed with the precision and detail this car has.

I keep coming back to this car. If I personally had the opportunity to add another detail, I would incorporate rear fender flares that match and compliment the front. That would also allow you to run a wider rear wheel and tire if desired.

The car looks great as is, but I thought I would share my opinion. We all know what opinions are like.

Thanks, If you look at in progress passenger side, rear has stock fender flares same as front. Widening in rear will allow 12 to 13 " wide wheels with stock backset. Rear sheet metal around vette bumpers blends with the angles of the 2016 camaro front. Time, energy , & for things like wheels, money has been the big holdup.
Will at least finish metal work & prime pass side if not completely paint before cutting up drivers side.

I'm glad you mentioned the unfinished pics. I looked at them, but for some reason I didn't pay attention to the passenger quarter. The tailgate kept catching my eye.
