Speedtech Performance 70-81 Camaro/Firebird Torque Arm Rear Suspension

Here are some new pictures of the parts finished and installed.
we have been working on this for a while now.
The Torque arm is virtually the same as what we have for the First Gen Camaro, so the performance is proven, same install , No floor cutting. if you are planning on running a 335/345 rear tire you will have to mini tub obviously, but that is IT. NO other modifications to the frame, trunk floor, back seat. Only the shock X member needs to be welded in.
There is plenty of room for 3" exhaust over the axle.
This is our new Second Gen Test car, it has the Chicane 9" floater rear in it as well as the StreetFighter front subframe.
I will have some ride height pictures next week.

Very pretty! Any chance you could get a shot of the back of the car facing forward? I'm just curious what the panhard rod's angles look like.

that should give you a good idea. remember the suspension is at full droop. the panhard mount on the chassis has 2.5" of adjustment and the housing mount has 2 mounting holes with 1" of spread. there is 4" of travel which leaves 1" of clearance between the axle tube and the frame rail on full compression. there are 3 possible lower shock mounting positions to adjust the ride height ans 4 possible trailing arm locations to adjust the anti squat. the pan hard will normally be set up to be level at ride height.

I will install a Speedtech torque arm on the 1970 Camaro. A leaf spring kit was also attached to the Detroit Speed minitab, so the position of the leaf spring pocket is different from the standard. The Speedtech manual states that the spacer should be installed on the outside, but consider installing the spacer on the inside. However, the position of the trading arm is still different. Is there a problem?Name: IMG_9941.jpg
