Well, after deliberating I just didn't like the new stance of the car so I wound up notching the cradle and flipping the upper shock mount to get the car down another 2" at both ride height and drop. I was a bit concerned that the shockwaves would actually be to short but I fabricated a lower shock offset mount the put them at 10 deg angle out of 3/4 steel. Eye opening to the importance of precise measuring. Plenty of stitch welding to reinforce the cut section of the upper cradle for strength. although ugly but cleaned up

I did have to remove about an 6" x 30" strip of the trunk floor so will need to fab up a panel to cover it. but I am very happy with the new stance.

      Kevin,
I didn't see any issue with the previous stance. The car in general is really nice. The new stance is really cool though.

I kno w most people don't but I was really particular about the stance. an inch looked like 3 inches. Plus before I switched to the 4 link I had an air over leaf that laid it down like the photo so remeasured made some adjustments and back down she came.

Hmm, that means my car is covered in custom paint.

Damn winter is killing me, I am at least 3 months behind where I wanted to be, but working out in the garage in -10 just ain't happening. I blame my lack of progress on the "polar vortex."

So what are you guys all running suspension wise? MII front setup or shelby drop? Did you keep the leaf spring rear or go with a 4 link?

I'm going to be running an oddball non-ford engine so I plan on removing the strut towers anyway, but I'm curious what your thoughts are since I see most of you have actually tracked your cars.

Probably most all of us who are on TFFN are here too (except, maybe Terry)

Here is mine to add to the list.

      It started as this:

      And then we did this:

and this: (Attention suspension companies who want to replace all this stock stuff with goodies for promotion.... )

      and this:

And ended up with this =)

Since I'm not a package guy, I kind of have some of everything: TCP, Global West, Howe, Hellwig, Unisteer, Speedway, Maier, Opentracker, Koni, blah, blah, blah. I've got 5-leaf packs with a Panhard and a longitudinal biscuit bar. The shock towers are intact, but with the Arning drop, raised upper shock mounting points (Mustang brackets on 1.5" or so spacers), and no bushings to speak of (except for the sway bar). It all seems to work pretty good, especially on the lovely 15x8 Mopar steelies...
