      Goodguys 2012 Sponsor Shootout entries..

If you did not see the Goodguys Sponsor Shootout for 2011 you missed a heck of a show between Kyle Tucker and Mike Maier with Mike Maier wining for Bridgestone Tires.

This year looks to bring three trucks and a whole lot of angry Camaro's to the mix.

Here is the list of entries for the Saturday 9am start.

For AFCO--Curt Ukasik in a 1962 Chevy II
      For AutoMeter--Stacy Tucker in a 1969 Camaro
      For Roadster Shop--Phil Gerber in a 1970 Chevy C-10
For Detroit Speed--Ryan Mathews in a 1966 Mustang
For Rocket Wheels--Robert McGaffin in a 1965 Olds Cutlass
      For Hurst Shifters--Rob MacGregor in a 1969 Chevy C-10
For ridetech--Bret Voelkel in a 1933 Ford Coupe
For JetHot--Cheryl Herrick in a 1967 Chevy Nova
For Summit Racing--Roger Burman in a 1970 Camaro
For optima batteries--Jimi Day in a 1969 AMC AMX
      For BFGoodrich--Brian Finch in a 1970 Camaro
      For Goodguys--Brad Coomer in a 1970 Chevy C-10

Look for Ford vs Chevy, Street Rod vs Street Machine, Trucks against Trucks and we will throw in a Olds and a AMX just to mix it up. Should be an exciting event.

Also stay around for Sunday when we have the top four from each class in a runoff to decide the winners for the weekend.

      Goodguy Ed

I did ok, but I was at the back of the field. Had trouble with traction and there was no time to make a sway bar change. After the shootout, Sam Farrington disconnected my sway bar, that helped a lot, but now it's pushing. So I am trying to figure out what to do next.

Ha, well I had a lot of fun, if that counts. Not my best day of racing. I stumbled in qualifying, then drew the Roadster shop truck in the first round. I ran a 37.354 to their 38.856. In the second round I out drove the back of the coarse and Brian Finch put me out. I was glad to see Brad Coomer win it. After all, their truck has all of my suspension parts, so it's a win for me too.
